CoolSculpting® is a non-invasive body contouring treatment. It can help target those tricky areas that are challenging to eliminate, even with diet and exercise. It uses controlled cooling technology to target and freeze stubborn fat cells, giving your body a more sculpted appearance.
CoolSculpting® is an FDA-approved treatment that has been shown to be effective in reducing targeted areas of fat on the body, such as the abdomen, arms, love handles, thighs, and chin.
If you can pinch it, you can freeze it!
CoolSculpting® is the #1 performed treatment with over 1 million satisfied patients. It is the only non-invasive treatment to permanently remove stubborn fat, without scars and downtime, while keeping the skin in perfect condition.
Each CoolSculpting session can result in a visible reduction in the treated area after each in-clinic visit. With this in mind, CoolSculpting® is not a weight loss program. CoolSculpting® is designed to help enhance, debulk, and contour your curves and figure.
Before any in-clinic treatment, our treatment providers complete a 360-degree consultation. This consultation considers the area you are looking to treat and any complimentary areas that will help enhance your results.
During the consultation, we will review your medical history, lifestyle, and the nature of the treatment. To get you set up, we ask you to change into our medical garments so we can assess the area fully. From there, we map out and design your custom treatment plan.
On the day of your first treatment, get comfy!
Wear your most comfortable clothes and drink lots of water. Before your treatment begins, we ask for you to get changed while we provide you with a robe and slippers. Then, we start by taking your medical photos.
Afterwards, we map out the treatment area, prepare your favourite show to watch, and start your treatment! Enjoy your treatment with complimentary snacks and refreshments.
During the first 5 minutes of the treatment, you will feel the suction, cooling, tingling and pinching sensation. After 7 minutes, the area goes numb, and any sensation will subside.
If you can imagine on a cold Canadian winter day, where your fingers and toes are exposed, that's what you can expect with CoolSculpting®! After the timer runs out, there will be a 2-minute massage. This massage will feel like an exposed sunburn. You may feel slight discomfort, but it is very tolerable and one of the most important parts of the treatment's success.
After your treatment, you may feel slightly sore, tender to touch, and inflamed. But because this treatment is non-invasive, you can go back to your scheduled activities with no downtime! Any treatment typically takes a minimum of 2 cycles. You may have some swelling, bruising or sensitivity in the area treated.
During the procedure, you may feel pulling, tugging, mild pinching, intense cold, tingling, stinging, aching, and cramping at the treatment site. But don't worry; these sensations will subside as the area becomes numb.
After the procedure, you may experience typical side effects such as redness, swelling, blanching, bruising, firmness, tingling, stinging, tenderness, cramping, aching, itching, skin sensitivity, and numbness. It's normal for numbness to persist for several weeks.
If you had submental (under the chin) treatment, you may feel a sense of fullness in the back of your throat. However, these effects are temporary and generally disappear within days or weeks.
The ideal candidate for CoolSculpting® is someone who maintains a healthy diet and active lifestyle with localized pinchable fat. Most of all, the ideal candidate has realistic expectations and a desire for noticeable contouring of their area of concern.
CoolSculpting® is not for you if you suffer from cryoglobulinemia, cold agglutinin disease, or paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria.
The CoolSculpting® procedure is not a weight loss tool or a treatment for obesity. This treatment is not suitable for people with extreme laxity or saggy skin tissues.
